PROJECT AND PROGRAM EVAULATION

Project and Program Evaluation
In an increasingly competitive landscape in terms of government and charitable dollars, there is all the more emphasis on third-party evaluations of projects and programs that are sound, analytical, and compelling. Econsult assists government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other advocates in properly evaluating their initiatives. Such evaluations serve a two-fold purpose: internally, they can be used to divine any strengths that should be extended and any weaknesses that should be addressed, and externally, they can be used to justify past funding and compete for future funding.

Though every evaluation is unique, Econsult tends to bring its strengths to bear on behalf of its clients in the following areas:
Goals-Based Evaluation
Econsult has assisted a number of organizations more clearly articulate its overall objectives, determine the extent to which initiatives are achieving those objectives, and offer guidance on how to adjust activities to better accomplish those objectives.
Economic Impact Evaluation
Econsult has extensive experience assisting clients evaluate or verify the outcomes or benefits of a particular program. Such benefits are often expressed as the total economic and fiscal impact of a project over time.
Cost Benefit Studies
Econsult has conducted a variety of studies, which weigh the value of the resources used against the benefits of a particular project, program or policy. Such approaches are very similar to "net present value" analyses that might be performed by businesses, organizations, and governments, and they take into account the many potential costs and benefits involved, both financial and tangible as well as public and intangible.
Project Finance
Econsult has assisted a number of organizations in the determination of whether a particular investment is cost effective and whether cash flows generated are likely to be sufficient to service any upfront debt.
